"really good" - a friend.
it's tony tran
Tony Tran is a Toronto-based actor and writer.
As a writer, his first stageplay, Queens, a comedy which explores sexual racism through a gaysian lens, had the opportunity to have its first professional staged reading through the Tarragon Theatre Workspace Program in 2019.
Through his work, Tran hopes to bring more queer, and Asian representation on the stage and screen. Honing on his comedic instincts, he also hopes to join writers rooms and sitcoms to share more of his experiences through a queer Asian lens.
Tony Tran has trained in a variety of studios across Toronto, working on his craft and his voice (he's like an okay singer).
He is best known for True Dating Stories (CBC Gem). He will also be featured in Work It (Netflix), and The Boys (Amazon Prime).
Stage credits include Retreat (Hart House Theatre), Mourning Commute (fu-Gen Theatre) and Best of Fusion Comedy (Toronto Comedy Sketch Festival).

"Heartbroken and a loser, everyday gay Asian artist, Ray, finds his dating habits challenged when he accidentally sets up a date with his very first Asian."
