Tony Tran is a Toronto-born actor, writer, and a lover of Vietnamese coffee, whose work often explores comedy and queer intersections.

As a writer, Tony loves writing campy queer TV comedy. He is a graduate of the BIPOC TV & Film's Kids TV Writing Bootcamp (2020) and is currently working as a screenwriter and story editor with various productions, including Corus, Nelvana, Wildbrain, Apple+, Fresh TV and Yellow Animation. 


He was selected one of the TSC's Top 10 Finalists of the Magee TV Diverse Screenwriter's Award (2020) and Project 10's Top 5 Comedy Pilots (2021).  Tony is also the recipient of the recent Rogers-BSO Script Development Fund (2021) for his project, "Ray". He also makes fun sketches under his series, "Short for Anthony".

As an actor, Tony can be seen in variety of works, including the upcoming Homeschooled (2022), Run Burbs (2022), Ghosts of Christmas Past (2021), and True Dating Stories (2020) 

Through his projects, Tony aims to star in his own scripted television series and create space for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists.
